WHAT YOU WILL LEARN ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY:
This is up to you. You'd be surprised of what you can do with your camera. To be more precise, you will learn all basic stuff about nature photography, portrait photography and food photography
Secrets and techniques: _Lenses _How to set and position your theme _The perfect shooting angle _How to light _How to use the sun _Software and applications used by professionals
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
_A camera of course (a DSLR, a mirrorless, a compact one or even your phone)
_Comfortable clothing (although not a walking tour, you still have to be comfortable) _Comfortable shoes (ideally sports shoes) _A hat and glasses (beware of the sun, we are not joking) VL says; and enough water/softdrinks) _Enough power in your phone (100% charged or bring a powerbank) _(Optionally) any photography equipment you may have. ABOUT US
MEET VELISSARIDIS
Yiannis Velissaridis is regarded as one of the most significant portrait photographers in Greece, with a great career in music, theater and dance. His photographs of popular Greek and foreign artists have been published in CD covers, magazines and exhibitions. He has been the exclusive photographer during their stay in Greece for U2, Sean Connery, Vanessa Mae, Sting and Robbie Williams.
Video directing and producing started in 2012 and has become a great love, leading him to filmmaking with documentary shooting style. His 33-year practice as a photographer is now connected to a powerful motion picture creative output.
He approaches his art with imagination, sensitivity, devotion and a good sense of humor. As he says: "His lens focuses on the human and his angle looks at the heart"
Yiannis Velissaridis has chosen to spend his winters in Athens and his summers on Paxos island. He has divided his projects and his life, so that he can achieve a golden ratio between quality of life and urban lifestyle. On Athens he focuses on art, exhibitions, concerts and fashion. On Paxos he focuses on people, on teaching and on his vegetable garden.
Paxos Photo Tour is an idea that came up during the summer of 2018 in order to combine his love for the island with his desire to teach and share his secrets.
